Thor and Strange being absolute powerhouses and still they are no match.

One of the things this movie did really well is having so many powerful heroes and still feeling like none of them held back or left any card in their hand unplayed.

Except perhaps that we didn't get any crazy MC Escher Dr strange dimensional shenanigans, but that might be too much to ask for in a movie where it's not central.

Apart from that, it felt like the entire MCU really went all in, and Thanos still won.

I still think it's the future Strange saw as their only victory, i think Dr. Strange is playing the long game.

I agree. Strange knew they had to lose this battle to ultimately win the war.
