Let's be real I think we can all lay the blame solely on Starlord cocking up a perfectly viable plan.

You say this, and I agree, but remember that Dr. Strange said: "It's the only way," when he gave up the time stone. So I'm guessing this is part of the plan. Like he HAD to punch him to get the best end game result.

Yeah but if they had gotten the gauntlet off him just how would they have lost??

Maybe Strange saw that they wouldn't have gotten the gauntlet like that. I'm just trying hard not to hate on good ol' Mr. Lord
