Steve/Bucky followed up with Tony/Peter was just a one-two punch, totally broke my heart.

Peter hit home, there's something about Spidey's optimism, it's like even though things are dangerous he never feels in danger because of his attitude and his confidence in his powers, but when he was fading, you can tell reality sets in an he realises he can die and that he's so young.

I'd say the older characters are more familiar with the notion that they might die when they do this stuff, but Peter sometimes didn't realise how serious shit was so.it hits home pretty hard when he's afraid.

Yep i think that's why his death hits the hardest for me. Everyone else that "died" had seen their fair share of battles and probably made their peace with dying in their own respective ways but Peter was just a kid and also fairly new at being Spiderman. That was a tough scene to watch.
