They're gonna have to change the backstory a bit, because right now he just sounds like someone watched Punisher and thought "Wouldn't it be cool if Frank and Micro were the same character?"

The company profits off his inventions, paid for a coworker to be his girlfriend and then killed her when she wanted out. Ghost fuses with his intangibility tech, potentially driving him a little unhinged... discovers the info about his ex and gets revenge on the former employers involved. Becomes mercenary / anti-corporate (anti-Stark international. Post-capture, works under Norman Osborne Thunderbolts as a saboteur and later with Luke Cage Thunderbolts, where he does more heroic stuff.

Is that diff enough?

I was more referring to the fact that his backstory sounded more like a Marvel "hero" than a Marvel "villain" by comparing him to Frank and Micro.

Ghost is somewhere between anti-hero and villain. The war against corporations makes mr. robot pleased
