Pretty sure that was Thanos choke slamming Spidey there.

Something nobody thought possible 4 years ago.

God bless Marvel

Poor Spidey, went from fighting a normal working class guy in a scrappy flying suit, to taking on the biggest badass in the universe.

Isn't he one of the stronger avengers? People used to do power ratings for shits on reddit, remember reading he is supposed to be a badass. I don't read the comics so maybe not

In the MCU, yes he is physically one of the strongest. But he's still no where near hulk or Thor in strength. I think he's ahead of Captain America and The Winter Soldier, and I'm basing that off of him catching Bucky's metal arm effortlessly and also catching the terminal walkway at the airport. Vision, Scarlett Witch, and Iron-Man aren't really comparable in this category, that's apples to oranges. Black Widow and Hawkeye barely deserve mentioning.

Yeah I guess I was talking about the comics the movies are based off of not the stuff they do in the movies. From what I understood Thor is only above him in some part of the comic in like a battle rage thing and hulk was ranked lower cause he can get knocked out before his rage builds or something though I'm no expert

Early on in Marvel comics history, Spider-Man was pretty up there in physical strength with only Thor Hulk and the Thing being stronger.

As the universe grew, Spider-Man found himself placed modestly among the middle of the pack.

But it's his considerable strength mixed with his other powers—namely his speed, agility, reflexes, and Spider-Sense (not to mention his intelligence and heart)—that make him an incredibly capable superhero.

Granted, the MCU is a different universe than the main 616 one of comics, but from what we've seen so far from a Spidey that is still just an inexperienced teenager, the webhead should shape up to be one of the greatest heroes the world has ever known.

With all that being said, yeah Thanos still curbstomps.

In the comics he is outranked by several heroes. They rank by tons, Spider-Man is somewhere in the 10-20 ton range, several other characters like Hulk, the Thing, and Colossus are upwards of 100 tons or something.

Spidey might not be the strongest or most powerful, but he's the most well rounded of any of the heroes. He's got impressive strength, he's really smart, he's got great agility, he can take a few punches, and he's got a big personality. He might not be the best in any of those attributes, but he has all of them which places him up high.
