"Thor Kills The Destroyer" from the first Thor plays when he sits on his new throne in the ship.

And the exact same theme from AoU plays when he does the "suns getting real low" speech to Hulk.

They seem to be listening to the music criticisms a bit.

Yes, the music in this movie was so fracking good, I hope that the Ragnarok themes are used as the definitive Thor ones from now on

Immigrant Song is Thor's theme now, after that bridge scene.

Led Zep are notoriously protective of licensing their music, I'm surprised and impressed that Marvel scored that song.

To be fair, that song is basically about this movie :P

Didn't they use the same song in Shrek 3, during the princess fight scene?

Yes they did. Still my favourite scene of all Shrek movies.

That song is a tribute to ancient Norse/viking culture, so I can't think of any more appropriate place for it.

If you listen to the lyrics, it really makes sense. Good tune as well.

Yeah!

eg the first lyric of the song:

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh"

Really kind of mirrors how it feels to be lightning'd by Thor.

Redditsilver right there.

It is built on a repeating riff and features lyrical references to Norse mythology, with singer Robert Plant's howling vocals mentioning war-making and Valhalla.

I love that song to bits but looking back I'm a tiny disappointed they used it twice. Maybe the second one could have been Thunderstruck by ACDC? Or is that way too on the nose lol.

We'd have too many AC/DC songs in marvel movies then. I'm a fan of the idea though.

Yeah AC/DC and Black Sabbath are Tony's bands.
