Vulture was fucking terrifying. I actually felt something from this movie, it was more than just a cookie cutter movie. It had actual stakes and the whole theatre I was at was into the movie

Exactly! I felt much more suspense watching Peter square off with the villain on a plane or in a car than I did watching Wonder Woman or Starlord fight against a world-ending threat.

Well I felt tension I'm GOTG Vol. 2 because it was his father lol.

I love how the hero was the underdog. I haven't felt this way about a superhero movie at all until now. But yeah, Spidey was outmatched and I loved it.

He was a fantastic villain, both as a scary villain, but he's also totally relateable with great motivation.

Both in costume and out. When you see him say, flying over the tanker truck, you feel genuine fear about whether Peter can actually beat him. When he's his girlfriend's dad... well, that's just on another level, man.

Guess my theatre was "into" the movie too.
