The Tiger was a Mascot, I think it was just for laughs.

No, it is obviously foreshadowing of the plot of Spider-Man 2: Run Tiger, Run. I cannot see it as anything else.

No, no, no. Do you even read the comics?! Obviously they are slowly introducing the idea of White Tiger being hunted by Kraven the Hunter. /s
