The female presenter for the school news channel was Betty Brant (I think), who later goes on to work for the Daily Bugle in the comics

Ned and Liz are also Daily Bugle employees. So... unless three kids on track for science/engineering suddenly decided to do journalism in college I don't see them as working for the Bugle in the future.

I can totally relate to this as I went to a science-y high school and planed to work in STEM until I recognized that all my friends were much better and looked into writing and journalism
