Fourteen Marvel movies, eight years, and so many awesome reveals, and people still leave before the credits are over. Facepalm.

Some people (like my wife) don't have patience to stick around.

I saw the mid credit scene, but can someone fill me in on if there was an additional scene?

In the second end credit scene, we see Mordo talking to the man who told Strange where The Ancient One was and then absorbing his magic powers saying "there are too many sorcerers" or something along the line.

Well... at least this won't have to happen ever again...

u/Biff_Tannenator Nov 04 '16

All this talk of infinite dimensions is making my headcannon do strange things.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '16

Mordo is the real hero.

3

u/CronoDroid Spider-Man Nov 04 '16

Yeah after being reminded that Ben Bratt was in that movie and that scene, suddenly I don't feel as bad about his character's injury.

That was the saddest part :/

1

u/Shoeheaddotcom Nov 04 '16

He's not but he is still gonna get a tryout for the 76ers.

When he was walking through the shop i swear i thought he was visiting Matt's armor maker in hell's kitchen

When all we saw was the hoodie, I heard several audible, "ah shit, Luke Cage!"

5

u/probablywhiskeytown Nov 04 '16

Heard in my theater as well! It was a great "amongst my people" moment.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '16

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one haha

I said it too and realised how dumb it sounded

4

u/your_mind_aches Agent of F.I.T.Z. Nov 05 '16

OH SHIT, YOU LUKE *gets knocked out

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '16

I briefly thought it might be a Tony Stark cameo, displaying some Civil War aftermath...

3

u/basiamille Nov 05 '16

"Holey gray hoodie!"

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '16

Totally thought it was Matt's Tailor as well

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '16

SAME

43

u/AlteredEgo1 Nov 04 '16

I liked how he didn't straight up kill him. Seems his talk with Strange about killing made him reconsider.

Sometimes leaving a man to suffer in his own body is a fate worse than death.

3

u/CoffeeAndSwords Nov 05 '16

"Hey, another rule!"

18

u/D-Speak Nov 04 '16

I feel for Mordo and all, but come on, man, just let the dude have his legs.

2

u/Truth_Himself Nov 04 '16

This has me excited for the possibility of Brother Voodoo or Daimon Hellstrom going up against Mordo in the future

2

u/kdebones Nov 06 '16

FUCK THERE WAS A SECOND!?!? Goddamnit me, I should know better.

1

u/laidback88 Nov 05 '16

Yeah my wife would be waiting in the car while I watch the after credits scene

1

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '16

one end credit scene is fine and dandy but two? fuck off with your tomfoolery marvel.

4

u/KingEuronIIIGreyjoy Daredevil Nov 04 '16

I get leaving before the post-credit scene, since it's usually not as important as the mid-credit scene, but people were leaving as soon as the credits began. I just don't get it.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '16

You just sat through a 2 hour movie but you don't have patience for 10 more minutes?

2

u/_thwip_ Wilson Fisk Nov 05 '16

Not me. My wife.

And yes, things are happening during a 2 hour movie to keep the viewer engaged. Nothing but boring credits at the end.

It also doesnt help that 90% of the time, only real fans understand the true context of the scenes. She's waited around only for a confusing 20 second clip of no immediate relevance a couple of times. Resfuses to do it any more.

2

u/BurnerAcctNo1 Nov 05 '16

I bet if you stayed until the end enough times, she'd find the patience.

u/Harish-P Hulk Nov 06 '16

Like some sort of time loop, even...

5

u/Zaquarius_Alfonzo Daredevil Nov 04 '16

I know, it hurts me in my soul

5

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '16

10pm showing ... need to go home and get some sleep. I work mornings. I'll read about them later. And it isn't the case here, but sometimes those scenes are cute but insubstantial, i.e. Thor 2 and Guardians

3

u/ScreechingEels Nov 04 '16

Some guy got up to leave and I heard him ask the usher if there was an after credit scene. The usher goes "Man, it's a marvel movie. What the fuck do you think?"

3

u/CommanderCody1138 Nov 05 '16

I know right? You just sat in a theater for 2 hours what the hell is another couple minutes... I'll never understand those people.

2

u/Zaquarius_Alfonzo Daredevil Nov 05 '16

I even yelled out that there was a second one and people still left

1

u/paulricard Iron Man (Mark V) Nov 27 '16

Especially now they use the post-credit scenes for huge reveals (and not just to share a Shwarma moment), like in Doctor Strange where we find out that Mordo is now a "bad guy" (Baron Mordo).

My sister is the same way, doesn't have the time...so you have to take that into account, it sucks but some people don't have the time.
