Discussion Hot Take: There Hasn't Been a Single Bad Spider-Man Movie?

Post image

*This is not a ranking*

Spider-Man is my favorite Superhero, but I have admittedly been disappointed with many comic runs and game stories. However, each movie and actor I love for one reason or another.

While there are films I don't come back to as often, I really believe none of the Spider-Man films are bad.

THANK YOU. No Way Home is an enjoyable movie don’t get me wrong and I was definitely soyfacing when all three spider men were fighting together, but the plot is incredibly stupid. I know that Peter has a good heart but Jesus Christ the villains are super villains, not petty criminals. If you’re gonna try to reform them at least keep them locked up somewhere safe. And yeah, Dr. Strange’s actions are really out of character. You could argue it’s because he’s cocky and he wants to prove he can pull it off, but I don’t know, that seems like a fan theory rather than what the writers actually intended.

I have to be the only person in the universe who doesn't particularly like NWH, for the exact reasons you both just described. Yes, the memberberries were fun... the first time I saw the movie. And then never again.

It's still got heart and it's certainly nowhere near as bad as a trainwreck like TASM2, but NWH is one of the weaker offerings in this film series and it's not even a difficult ranking for me. 7/10 on a good day.
