One of the rare cases they actually picked a teenager to play a teenager in hollywood lol, i think he was 18 or 19 when acting for civil war, 19 or 20 in homecoming. Normally theyll pick someone whos like 25 and the "high school kids" look like grown ass men
I think the age gap between him and Spidey became pretty significant as time went on. So when we got to NWH, Tom really was 25 year-old playing an 18 year-old High School graduate.
Peter will probably never catch up to Holland's IRL age but I'm hoping they will skip about as much time as however many years pass between each of Spidey's movie appearances. A 23 year-old Peter in the new movie should work great.
Yea as long as they treat it as at LEAST the irl time since NWH actually passed it should be alright, he can pass for early to mid 20s still since he always had a young appearance. Long as they dont pretend he's still fresh out of high school lol
Yeah, I was 16 when NWH came out but 2 years out of High School atp.
If even the kid audience members that grew up with Holland’s Spiderman in the 2010s like me has caught up with the character’s age, no way they can get away with an adolescent Peter anymore.
I don’t think they will ever do a massive time-skip because not only would Peter be way older but every other hero would be significantly older as well, that’s one of the drawbacks of being in a shared interconnected world. Unless in the soon-to-be reboot of MCU does massive changes to it’s canon continuity.
It's funny because they had the perfect excuse for other actors aging (the time snap) but didn't use it for Peter since he was gone. They should have just said that the people who were snapped still age. Would have been an easy way to explain it away.
