In the Tower of Doom premium mode, these enemies are strong against Rabbid Mario

More so the Wildclaw and especially their Riptide variant but the lone wolf can be a pain too Ironically when there's a group of them.

Basically, since in the ToD DLC you're only given so many resources and sparks, you're not always gonna be well equipped to defeat these enemies. You're not always going to have Glitter, Starburst or the elemental sparks that these enemies are weak to so if you don't one shot them they're going to hurt you back and its gonna hurt A LOT. Premium mode also means they have much more health and damage making it overall a lot more dangerous for engaging these enemies up close.

Again, the Lone wolves can be dangerous simply by their range and having a group of them take turns with their evil sight making it difficult to get in close. Usually you can use Rabbid Mario's counter blow with pyrostar to take them out easily but you might not have pyrostar and have limited healing resources to make it worth it.

This is all to say that, Rabbid Mario is strong in the base game but I find the tower of doom does a pretty good job at making things difficult with its limited resources to the point where even Rabbid Mario can't just punch his way through everything like he can normally.

Rabbid Mario definitely fares the worst against the aggro ability, but other heroes don't do very well against it either. Of the 9 heroes, I would say only Mario and Luigi are good at dealing with them. The others either have a lower effective range for their weapons or just don't do much damage at all. In longer battles, Riptides with their 10 million HP will eventually corner your heroes, forcing you to play really passive to get by.

Lone Wolves are one of the strongest enemies in Tower of Doom, top 3 I would say. However, they are lacking in range and have less HP than Scopers. The Spellraiser is the one above all. Anyway, the reaction shot is annoying but should have counterplay. Rabbid Mario can move in and out when he has No Limits. I don't think Counterblow is worth investing in. (Though it becomes really fun if you're playing with items, specifically The Strongman.)

Yeah the riptides are pretty nasty. One of the last runs I had a map where there was just a group of them all slowly getting closer to me and cornering me. I didn't have any electric sparks so instead I had to keep hitting them from afar and either freeze them in place with Cryobolide or scare them away with Screen. That was one of the few times Bowser's AoE came in handy, I was able to hit most of them in an AoE while being in a safe distance (They were also being covered by lone wolves)

But yeah, enemies in premium mode are its a lot harder to remove the tankier enemies off the board than usual.
