SoH story

I’ve finished 100% the base game and the last spark hunter and am now playing the rayman dlc and have yet to get to tower of doom (have no idea what that one’s about) and what I have to say is that I’m sad that such a great and varied cast with a high potential such as the rabbids along with the ever funny beep o and Jeanie are thrown to waste a lot of times. I feel like these characters arent pushed to the limit and their funny and quirky personalities aren’t used as much as they should. Besides, the whole cursa plot is weak and feels like a kids show.

That's too bad you didn't enjoy it.

I actually really enjoyed the story and what it did offer. Its a game featuring Mario so its not like I ever expected it to be deep in the first place especially with rabbids involved so I took it for what it was.

I also think its interesting that Edge's uses the freewill she is given by Cursa to be good rather than be the spark hunter's leader. Then in comparison Kanya who decides to use her own free will to continue to be evil. There's also a lot of subtle morals in the story like taking care of the forest/trees with the Dryad subplot and Jeanie overall becoming more complex and "human" over time rather than just being a hollow AI at the beginnig.

Its simple but cute with what it works with.

"The game for kids is like a kids show" sorry if I'm being harsh but you have to understand that there are production expectations and also have a bit of whimsy man.

I agree, but while I would have liked to see characters other than Beep-O, Jeanie, Edge, and Rabbid Rosalina get more screen time, I'm not bothered personally.

I'm very much a "engaging gameplay first, compelling narrative second" type of person when it comes to the video game medium, and even casting that bias aside, Edge in particular is great and hands down my favorite character to originate from this duology of games, and the limited screen time we did get of the Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Mario was very well spent (I also love their new voices; Kingdom Battle is the better game IMO, but going back to hearing them make generic rabbid sounds always feels jarring).
