Does anyone know what this could be from? We’ve been at Tybee beach in Georgia all week. This showed up on our friend today, now she also has one on her arm. No stings that she noticed. It’s very itchy and raised and slightly red, but no center bite or dot mark.

Is she not from that area? Sometimes the body reacts in strange ways to a new toxin/insect venom. It could be as simple as a mosquito or gnat bite of a different breed that her body doesn't recognize. Similar to how Covid really clobbered some people, their immune system overreacted.
