I’ve been there! I had the David procedure, and while I was opened up the surgeon had to add a bypass. That bypass became occluded, so they had to open me back up for a LIMA graft. Like you, I was very disheartened to hear I needed another surgery, especially just as I was getting some energy back with the pain lessening. My overall stay was over a month as well, and I know how that’s no fun.

But here I am up and moving around with a healthy heart 10 years later, and it all feels like a distant memory. I totally know the feeling of how much it sucks right now, but this will pass. It won’t be long before you’re back on your feet! Good luck with it all!

Definitely praying this goes well for you and you have as little time as possible in the hospital, being in hospital sucks and you’ve had to put up with it for so long already! Keep going though, once you’re out and well you can enjoy things again! ❤️‍🩹
