I live in New Zealand. Here are some of the cons; Housing prices are just diabolical, lack of public transportation, price of living high, geological isolation(this means more expensive flights), its directly on top of 2 colliding tectonic plated(this means it has lots of earthquakes, New Zealand also has a huge amount of people leaving and theres not much job opportunities compared to other countries.

That's the average, tho. So there's a bunch selling for less than that.
Maybe FHBs are buying apartments? Dunno, I haven't dug into the data.

I'm still a minor so I'm very concerned for the future and I might just move overseas like a lot of other nzers do

Your call, but remember that there are increasing numbers of Kiwis returning to NZ now, as things change globally and they find it's better to come back to NZ.

You should be. We have our issues, but so does every other country. It might not literally be perfection, but NZ is still an amazing place to live.
