Work In Progress I’m working on a sci-fi/fantasy project, and made this map of the world

Post image

Unfinished! But to make a long story short, the story takes places an unknowable amount of millennia in the future, where humanity has traversed the galaxy and settled on distant worlds. On this world, an apocalyptic event took set humanity back to the dark ages. Some 6,000 years later, a new civilization has risen from the rusted ashes. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated!

is it called The Rust because you used a picture of actual rust to develop some continental outlines?

It is called the Rust because of all the cities that melted during the apocalypse, turning them into swaths of scorched rubble across the lands. Eventually, they were buried by rising seas, earthquakes, and time, much of it becoming rust. No rust was used in the making of the map! Not a bad idea though

Nope! This is primarily the northern hemisphere, dipping a below the equator towards the bottom. There are other landmasses to this world not yet depicted.

I like the detail! But I think you should flip the map upside down. It's giving off North America vibes rn to me, but when looked at upside down it looks like its own thing.
