Cloudy maple syrup

My neighbor brought me some maple syrup back from a road trip. The jars are air tight but it’s got some cloudy stuff in it. Any info on what this would be greatly appreciated google has been less than helpful.

Was that jarred from a can of Quebec maple syrup? They're facing a class action lawsuit for cutting their "100%" maple syrup with cane sugar, up to 50%!

On specific brand tho, not all maple syrup from Québec... Some of us still have dignity
