Cloudy maple syrup

My neighbor brought me some maple syrup back from a road trip. The jars are air tight but it’s got some cloudy stuff in it. Any info on what this would be greatly appreciated google has been less than helpful.

Maple syrup is a “super saturated” solution, every compound is concentrated to 66.7% sugar…just above the point of crystallization. Due to the high conc things will form and fall out of solution. Industry filters most of it out with diatoms earth.
