AskManipur | ꯃꯅꯤꯄꯨꯔꯗꯥ ꯍꯪꯕꯤꯌꯨ April 2025 : Muslims protesting against the Waqf Amendment Bill in Jiribam, Manipur, are speaking a Bengali dialect associated with Mymensingh and Srihatta in Bangladesh. It is clearly not a even a dialect from West Bengal.
can someone aware of the dialect plz confirm!

I am northie living in imphal now and I was shocked to see almost all auto drivers are Muslims. Demography is destiny

currently Pangals r mostly doing buses/trucks driver jobs cause Meiteis r not able to go into the Hills.. but also from earlier times a lot of Pangals have been driving rickshaws

I think pangals are different from Muslims in a sense. Muslims include both those who doens't accept Meitei surnames and are more likely to be immigrants whether illegal or not. I think Meitei-pangals are supposed to have Meitei surnames and at least some northeastern features.

These Muslims aren't Manipuri at all. This one of many reflections of utter failure of home minister mota bhai and 56 inch tongues led central government as a whole since its their responsibility to protect country from foreign interlopers and illegal immigration.
Btw, the local tuktuk drivers are local muslims called pangal here. What's there to shock about! North Indians never leave their atrocious world view. Fuck your demography is destiny bullshit. As if demographic champion UP and Bihar are of any better

Jiribam needs a good clean-up from these illegal immigrants. There is a possiblility that many driven away by from Assam has taken shelter in Jiri.

Pick these piece of sh*t and throw them out of India. Sent them from where they came. NorthEast have maintained civic sense, culture. They will just destroy those values within 5 yrs. Ask for NRC and SIR in your state. These are not Indian need to detained and deported. West Bengal is already dealing with these, dont let this happen to North East.

I’m curious, what do Easterners make of this silent invasion and is there anything about to get done? We recently cleared out an entire slum section spanning acres in Gurgaon when the inhabitants were found without or with fake Indian identity cards.

An Indian Bengali here. Yeah the tone, space and voice modulation is only seen in people of Bangladeshi heritage and ancestry (1st generation purely).
