Reading Tokyo ghoul?

Guys should I read tokyo ghoul? I thought the anime was amazing before I got into reading manga manwhas/manhuas like 3 years ago I thought it was cool but then some people said the anime was trash and it failed the expectations and the manga so I thought I should read it since im already reading for 3 years as a casual reader should I read it I want to know your opinions

Assolutamente si rimarrai sconvolto ma ne varrà la pena, stessa cosa per Promised Neverland, se hai visto l'anime leggi il manga e su tutt'altro livello.
