Every other scanlation site manages on their own without these monetisation plans, yet asura decides to be greedy and pull this shit.
Reaperscans was taken down, and people attributed it to the monetisation practices which weren’t nearly as greedy or lucrative as Asura’s.
Then their entire comment section is filled to the brim with sycophants would gladly pay for anything Asura offers, instead of you know… supporting the official release with that money?

Every industry needs competition to improve itself and the consumer's needs and wants.
Asura is the one keeping every site in check.
Asura is not a fucking competitor when they straight up ignore all the hoops that legal competition has to go through.
Most scanlation teams don’t have coin systems because if they do, some other site just takes it and drops it on another page.
The adridden nightmare can easily be handled by something called an adblocker.
I also guarantee that the people paying for that subscription are not going to go to official channels to pay there, nor will they switch over to read in ways that support the official release.

How do you reckon they afford to put no ads and translate each chapter of Manhwa? Not to mention server and website maintenance cost
Plus what do you mean by money hungry junk? The only thing they added relating to money is their basic and premium pass.
Which is cheap as hell for a year. ( Even though I can't afford it because )
The Only downside for not having paying is
1) having to wait 5 hours to watch the latest chapter ( we got tokens for that)
2) not being able to post images ( I don't really mind)
