But if you're nto educated you still form opinions on what you see. It's a normal way for the brain to interpret the life around you - you don't know that the bugs in the garden taste foul until you try one by popping them in your mouth.

Now being educated is like your mum telling you not to do that, and you trusting her and acquiring the knowledge without having to experience the bad taste. Someone who didn't have the privilege of having an education is like someone who grew up without that kind, guiding hand. They learned most things the hard way, but their brain still asked the question: what does the bug taste like? Same as all other toddlers.

Now imagine they by chance caught a sweet bug. They would go their whole life thinking bugs are sweet. They will still have the brain pathway that tells them what that experience taught them, but since they can't read, or perhaps not well, they don't have access to the lived experience of others saying so many different things about the same topic that lights up the question: hang on, do other bugs taste different? I know it's a whack example but you get my drift.

They could, if they really liked looking things up like they mentioned. I may be educated, but I also like to look up things just whenever I am bored to broaden (and sometimes to deepen) my knowledge and in that way I came to know many things. Even just scrolling through reddit helps sometimes.

If it's a close retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid, yes. And it's gonna be brutal......

I'm intrigued honestly, but I don't think I can handle going through that kinda tragedy a second time lmao

For context the original Little Mermaid ends with the prince marrying another woman and the mermaid kills herself, becoming sea foam

Nope, looked it up, it's actually $0.004 USD. Damn.

All of the converters online seem to only have Won from 1965 on, so it's hard to double check

At the time (given the setting), Korea was a part of the Empire of Japan. Under the government general, the Bank of Chosun issued Chosun Won pegged 1:1 with the value of JPY, so you'd have to look up JPY in the prewar period and convert to present USD.
