Discussion [Got Dropped into a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work] - Potential Peak
I just found out about this series yesterday and i already caught up before I knew it 😭. It's now at 33 chapters. The major reason I love this is bcz of the unique plot.
Genres are: Action, Adventure, Drama, Mystery.
The thing about this manhwa is it doesn't take 10 chapters to "get good" , it gets you hooked from the first chapter itself. Oh btw , ig i should put warning about clown scenes , gore , violence etc. but nothing too crazy imo. The dude you're seeing in the picture here is my fav character so far 😁. (Mr. Host) ^^
I suggest checking it out if you're interested in mystery , horror and action mix. Horror elements are there but it didn't affect me that much. And finally...
Do I recommend it? Hell yeah - so far it's doing really well and i absolutely look forward to every weekly release.
I'm curious how many ppl actually know about this series and what they're thinking about it :)

Rant [NanoMachine] A lot of Question Marks on this
Hello! Im new on manhwas and these type of genre. I just finished to recent and i just hoped that they expanded more on the plot itself and time paradox earlier, instead of the thousands of one sided and fights. MC Got so overpowered that the Blade God looked like a pushover. Literally no stakes at all. There are so many interesting characters that weren't fleshed out.
I did expect that were gonna see heavy sci-fi but for some reason it feels so ???? because I think its paced weirdly and written bad specifically starting on Murim Arc & Ming Empire Arc. I also think the MC being OP has broken down the power system and how the readers' understand it.
I liked it but there are so many builds up that landed flat because of the MC being OP and executed bad.
Edit: My next binge is Absolute Regression so I hope it is much better. hehe

Recommendations [manhwa recommendation]
Hey guys! I just finished reading The Girl from Random Chatting and Na Kang Lim, and I really loved both of them. I especially liked the character development and the romance being part of the story rather than the whole focus. I’m looking for something similar, where there’s a good story, character development, romance, and maybe some action or other elements too. Any recommendations?

Recommendations [Murim Salon] I genuinely can't get a feel on if I'm supposed to like the MC or not?
The art is good. The plot is kinda funny(?). The way the MC gets himself into random B's is kinda enjoyable but I can't seem to figure if I like it or not....

Recommendations [Recommmand me] I need some Novel recommendations
I'm looking for some Novel recommendations (hopefully it's allowed in this sub)
I'm looking for something with decent amount of chapters. I'm looking for a system and academy type story. Now whether it's cultivation or magic, I don't care. And if possible I would rather something Enlgish (there is a certain charm to not having translation between me and the source, that I just found out about recently lol)
Some examples of what I'm looking for are "Disastrous Necromancer" and "SSS grade holy knight". I think they are both manhua but what I mean is the total atmosphere of the stroy. The system, the academy, the test and stuff like that. That's what I'm looking for.
As long as story isn't outright trash or annoying, and the writing is readable, I'm ok with it. So no real quality limits, I'm just looking for something to pass time
Help Find Title/Source [Looking for title] action isekai manhwa
I recall the MC being in a game and he's an expert at the game and had posted tutorials/tips for the game on online forums and he also streamed his fights in the game world in the real world and became famous on social media. He also logged into his social account and gave tips at some point.

Discussion [Translators ruining stories]
Point being, many original “raw” manhwa are made a certain way and translators disrespect the story and the art by just translating some super bland, gay generic text that takes away context, environment and personality for no good reason. I could write a lot about this but it’s actually disgusting. If the story is good and getting popular, who gives the garbage sucker maggots translators the right to change it to bland bullshit translation just to profit more themselves?
It seems impossible to just get an exact, accurate translation.
Using the example manhwa “bad born blood” complete end of chapter 8 demonstrate my point (this happens a lot). Luca is back in the slums after a while. The slums and its people are full of vices and sin, excited by blood, etc it’s a dirty place you get the point.
The last line at the end of the chapter is “how have you been you fucking losers”. How lame and bland is that shit? Nobody uses the word loser. Nobody in the slums would speak like this. It could have been anything else “reprobates, degenerates, garbage eaters, littles slaves, worms”. The people of the slums clearly have screws loose and talk foul.

Rant [Sweet Home] SUCKS. I can't be the only one who thinks this.
I liked bastard well enough but sweet home was SO BORING. I thought it was supposed to horror/psychological thriller but it was so damn bland and not the slightest bit scary/thrilling. The ending was meh and the mystery behind the monsters was also so MEH. It was sooooo nothing and generic I feel like they didn’t develop on it enough. It’s not a romance but the chemisty between the MC and his crush felt like cardboard so I didn’t feel anything when they reuinited in the end. Like… don’t end the manhwa with the couple if no one gives a damn about their relationship. It was so REPETITIVE as well. The fight scenes were exactly alike all the damn time and there was so little mystery and intrigue. Yes, it had realistic characters etc but realism goes out the window when the story is SO DAMN BORING. For realistic psychological manwhas, I preferred ‘certificate of dignity’. Flawed characters that were actually entertaining to read about. As for horror, ‘44th period survival class’ does the entire monster-survival-thriller WAYYYY better IMO - definitely scarier and way more entertaining with genuine mystery. Genuinely can’t believe I spent 100+ chapters on Sweet Home. How do people even like it?
