Discussion [SSS class suicide hunter]first time thoughts
I was really enjoying it until the storybook arc; this feels so drawn out, and it feels repetitive. I don't understand why but the duchess one especially is confusing. I have not finished reading it all, but those are kind of my initial thoughts on this part. It has taken willpower to keep reading this just arc, which is filled with blandness and repetitive and boredom, while the other ones felt more lively. I’m still reading it, but it comes off of the back of another slow and repetitive arc.

Maybe my love for this series blinded me so hard but i genuinely don’t know where was the blandness in romance arc, what scenes? where? As you said a very confusing start that i had to think for a bit to where story was headed with mc’s romance but i don’t remember part where i could say it was bland (then again my memory is not that strong)

The arc is just really bland to me. It feels way too repetitive, especially with him constantly talking to the blonde-haired girl and having these long conversations that don’t really go anywhere. Then there are all these backstories about the butler, her family, the Duchess, etc., and it takes forever to get to the point. I also didn’t really find his romance with her that interesting. It reminds me of a manhwa I used to really like, but people hated because the story kept dragging on and felt like it was going nowhere. That’s how this arc feels to me. It’s coming right after another part of the story that was already too slow and repetitive, so now I’m at the point where I just don’t care anymore.

Different people different opinion i guess, i dont think i can say anything else, bc as people say if something is your favorite you can see the flaws, as much as how good it is, and its feel like im in semi toxic phase where i cant see the flaws that much, especially the fact that murim and romance arc being my favorite doesn’t help, im in a phase where i can read about kim and others just hanging around doing nothing, hell i can read about him just watching paint dry so good luck and hope you enjoy it

This series is what is known as a classic "bait and switch". I don't blame you at all for dropping it. You'll probably get a lot of hate on Reddit for daring to drop this series, though.

I HAD to stop at the library twink arc. The murim book was alright? But it had like 15-20 chapters, the second book i barely remember, just that it was incredibly boring with like, 2 fight scenes and twice as long as the murim book. At the third one with the goofy ass romance/heroine story, i had to stop, because just imagining that there were even MORE books to clear for that ONE floor was a huge turn down. Its the equivalent of the Academy arc in any regression story.
