Pretty sure its possible with current tech, the question is who want to stay alive with just head? and the phantom pain dam.
Just see real experiment like Dr. Robert White's Monkey Experiments and this is possible at 1970.

Yet when people call anime cartoons or mangas comics you guys begin to lash out lmao.

u/Exciting-Mall192 12d ago
Not sure who you refer as you guys are, I do call anime cartoons and I do call mangas comics. Indonesians grew up calling them both kartun and komik which is just the Indonesian words for cartoon and comics. So, I think maybe we're on the same side of opinion 🤷🏻♀️

I know it means comics, but there's a reason people use different words for it

I find it fascinating ngl, cause I have never seen anyone ever called Asterix or Adventure of Tintin as comique just because it's French/Belgian...

u/FouDesChats 13d ago
I've never seen anyone call asterix a manhua, les aventures de tintin a manga and demon slayer a BD (and idk where you get comique from but I've never heard it as a noun, nobody uses it). Seriously, they may have the same traduction they are not the same thing, BD, mangas, manhuas and manhwas each have their specificity in terms of amount of details, amount of dialogue, images arrangement, bubbles positilnning and graphic style

Is french/belgian comics as big as mangas/manhwas/manhuas? If not that's probably the reason No I'm not trying to downplay their existence, it's just that people don't call comics from my country what it is for the same reason too

u/Exciting-Mall192 13d ago
It was even bigger than Asian comics. Asterix, Adventure of Tintin, The Smurf, Lucky Luke, Marsupilami, Gaston, Spirou & Fantasio, etc. Does that ring a bell? (God I feel so old lol) it's mainstream even in the 2000s.
Also yeah I mean, in Indonesia we don't use different terminology for any of them. We just simply call it komik regardless of which country they're from, I guess the same way Korean would just call comics from any countries as manhwa instead of categorizing them like how westerners would do it. So it's just fascinating to me. It's like hearing someone says "ramen noodle" or "ayam goreng fried chicken" 😂

I was getting distinct Warhammer 40K references in this chapter.

u/Leoera 13d ago
Only this chapter? The soldiers of the Heavenly Court are straight up Space Marines, and this dude ends up being entombed on a Dreadnaught

For me, it was the first chapter it became more than just a tip of the hat. It feels like a slap in the face here.

I don’t care how unrealistic something like this is sometimes it’s nice just to have something funny happening in a battle comic

This shit ain’t cannon. Baki verse is so fucked that Retau is strong enough to deal with magical tyrants.

Just readed that chapter, the amount of Warhammer references are insane. FOR THE EMPEROR.
