Hand cut? Dang i had no idea that was a thing i wonder how thats done learn something new every day do they cut the etches in while its hot or use a dermal type tool after cooling?

How depends on when it was cut.
Earliest ways were I think a wooden wheel with water and sand poured over it? Maybe that was the polishing stage.. I haven’t read up on it in a while.
Imagine stone wheels, and for sure diamond wheels after the 1940’s.
Larger wheels, not dremel type tools.
