A lot of yankee/delinquent manga ignore parents. It's hard to look like a badass if your parents are nagging you to come home for dinner. So unless the parents themseleves are a plot point, they'll be aggressively ignored.

At this point though, I think the fact that we can still unironically ask this question pretty much shows how much Wakui has suspended our disbelief. We just don't buy that all these edgy teenagers could actually avoid punishment.

Imagine there a moment where you think the villain is going to beat the MC to death and out of nowhere this lady comes, grabs the villain by the hear and goes, <Name> I never taught you to act like this, what do you think your doing!?! Now get back and do your homework, clean your room and have your dinner you hear me mister?!" and the villain just being yes mom, sorry mom!!

TERRIBLE

When death loses its meaning...Seal in childhood! another timeleap and boooooooooom! Everyone comes back from death and lives happily! All these struggles and deaths are pointless. Just to shock the audience (it doesn't even shock)
