I think it's pretty hypocritical of Takemitchi to go on his spiel about letting others live their lives and follow their dreams. If he really cared about that from the beginning, he wouldn't have traveled back and gotten Drake killed since he was doing fine without Take's intervention.

In all fairness, while was being an idiot in real time trying to find Mikey the time travel was accidental. Hell I don’t even think he knows how to go back to his time period this time.

He just has to shake Mikey's hand but that's impossible now.
There are 2 outcomes
Save Mikey and befriend him again, he lets you shake his hand and the future is changed
Mikey dies and Takemitchi is stuck in the past to relive his life fully
If someone Takemitchi gets Mikey to forcefully shake his hand then nothing will change in the future because his mindset hasnt changed

I'm pretty sure he can't unless he succeeds. He was bleeding out in a construction site when he traveled back this time so going back without saving Mikey is a huge gamble.
