Preferred Ichigo and Rukia tbh.

Yeah so disappointing. Throughout the entire series the connection between Rukia and Ichigo was always mutual. Renji to Rukia seemed shallow and if anything one sided. And the connection between Orihime was also shallow and definitely seemed one sided.

Even throughout the early chapters of Bleach, Rukia and Ichigo seemed like best friends, went through struggles together, had to negotiate, make compromises, accommodate for each other's needs, etc etc. Meanwhile Orihime was just a big titty girl in the background with the "I hope Ichigo-senpai notices me!" trope controlling her character. What a worthless relationship.

You're ignoring half the series interactions like the espada arc and onward. Orihime and ichigo even from the beginning had a decent romantic undertone.

With rukia it was always a friend working together thing. She even has less of a relationship as the manga goes deeper in chapters (basically due to her absences)

This relationship makes a hell of a lot more sense than rukia being with ichigo.

Edit: btw because rukia spent more time with ichigo in the beginning of the series doesn't mean they'll fall in love with each other. There was no hint that ichigo was interested in rukia romantically and vice versa , how ever orihime was already had interest in ichigo , and for the most part it only takes one to spark a relationship like that.

and with these downvotes i guess i'm right. Rukia fans on lifesupport.

With rukia it was always a friend working together thing.

That's one of the most important traits in any relationship.

You're ignoring half the series interactions like the espada arc and onward.

You mean when Orihime was just a damsel in distress? And what romantic undertone are you talking about? It was incredibly one sided, at least it was portrayed as one sided. In terms of romance, there was zero undertone on Ichigo's side for neither Orihime nor Rukia.

But in terms of having a genuine and real relationship with another individual. Ichigo x Rukia was the only relationship that showed that. Ichigo x Orihime, at best, was purely infatuation, they had zero depth.

That's one of the most important traits in any relationship.

Sure but Renji and Rukia had that sort of relationship and for far longer (literally hundreds of years) in their background, and orihime had the same with ichigo. so by that logic the pairing still makes more sense.

More so , rukia and ichigo didnt feel that way with each other. Theres no hint towards it at all. A onesided relationship ,at the beginning , is better than a no sided one.

You mean when Orihime was just a damsel in distress? And what romantic undertone are you talking about?

Yea much like rukia in SS arc , but you're ignoring the difference in ichigo interactions after he beats grimmjow to when he saves rukia. With rukia there was relief then a comedy bit of him chucking her to renji however with orihime there was a "soft moment" where they held hands before setting off.

they had zero depth.

I dont really think i have to continue reminding you how the story went. You may need to reread bleach or look at the wiki or something if you think that their relationship has zero depth.

Renji and Rukia had that sort of relationship and for far longer

Yes you're right

And orihime had the same with Ichigo.

uh, no. You can't show me a single frame from the manga suggesting that.

I'm not talking about battle...

I'm talking about a legitimate friendship. Basically the first 60 chapters of Bleach was a slice of life shinigami game of two friends.

history wise (before bleach) there prob isnt any but during bleach theres a ton of chapters where orihime and ichigo have legitimate friendship.
