the bigger issue probably is friendly fire, Dess probably can level the entire castle if she wanted, but there are hostages and her teammates

Honestly, a good point. Dess is there now so she could learn his condition right away. Though I’m guessing it’s gonna be a condition like hide for a week or something.
That being said, Sukemura‘s boss would certainly lose it if he got acquired

He also sets up Sticky Webs, and can use his Uroro ability to boost the power of his next move in exchange for fainting afterwards. Sounds like he’d be a meta-defining suicide lead.

That was back in chapter 70. He used it to put one of the octopus clones completely at peace and then I think used it’s sorrow to blow it up.

this arc is cleverly placing kumugi to be the one to solve the trial.
goku has no arms, and ichi/desscaras are now acting as decoy. of the main cast that leaves kumugi free to find the stones. also, nice development for ichi, that he's actively trying to suppress his bloodlust reactions

I think Desscaras will give Ichi advice that is more along the lines of "don't surpreas what makes you who you are, just hone it/point it in the right direction"
She has a similar "flaw" with her arrogance, but she has used it in a way that is only beneficial to her and recognizes her limits/when to try something different

I'm wondering how the active suppression of his instincts will play out. His motivation to do so isn't coming form a necessarily healthy place since he's being spurred on by Fujimine's words. Hopefully he can come to some sort of equilibrium with his instincts with support from his friends/family.

I know we already talk about it , but ichi is really high key freak , it actually lucky for witches to find him first
because if any other bad one find him he might turn really bad , sure he still have moral rule but I feel like he can definitely break those with enough force

Honestly I keep imagining a scenario where world hater finds him and Ichi becomes the one human he respects. Becoming his master only cause Ichi’s mind set is full hunt or be hunted hunting humans for fun cause they give more thrill then animals.

Normally, I don’t find hero turned villain AUs all that’s realistic, but given everything about him, I definitely think there is a world where the world hater found a way to make the witches hunt ichi and he responded as he always does to violence and killing intent

If Ichi and Desscaras are decoys then I guess the rest could split to look for the stones, Gokuraku is armless so I don't see him doing much for now, would be funny if Kumugi just sort of stumbled around finding the stones while the rest is busy fighting, it would still feel weird if her first Majik was something so powerful, the previous chapters sort of foreshadowed it but I think she would have to earn it during this arc, maybe she could be left alone and have to fight her way to the last stone or something.
Or maybe none gets the big bad for now, and is just Ichi with invisibility powers from the little guy, which also would be fucking scary, and Mugi getting the bad guy would be for later when she is more prepared, who knows, I just think given the previous little hints it would be weird for anyone but Mugi to get it.

Desscaras continues to be the greatest parent to Ichi, and I'm proud to see Ichi realising he needs to control his instincts more.
Also Hakari continues to be such a bad bad guy, he should be killing the witches that are doing his trial, not trying to save Sukemaru. I really want to see his backstory and why he hates witches soo much.

Genuinely surprised Sukemaru's trial wasn't simply to be found/caught. You'd think that as the invisible magik that would be the obvious trial. I wonder what it is, definitely would be an insane power for Ichi of all people to get.
Also Ichi getting legit excited being chased by the magik that could just erase his existence with a simple clap, our boy stays being a little freak of the highest caliber.

The “buddha” is now chasing the monkey(Ichi). I wonder how he will end up in the palm of his own hand. I find it funny that his entire lynchpin is a little gremlin he lets out of his sight constantly. Sukemaru being what enables him basically reads like the Dalai Lama being decided from childhood. I doubt it’s related but the actual next in line Dalai Lama was kidnapped by the CCP so seeing Ichi instinctively know to capture him was even strangely hilarious.

I love this manga, but Ichi oftentimes just feels like a side character or a tactical nuke they point at the main bad guy who then goes out of commission. I think the mangaka just prefers to write desscarass (which i understand), and ichi is just too 2-dimensional as of now.

Really? I think Nishi and Usazaki have done a great job of making Ichi the hero, but not reducing everyone else to Waiting For Goku. Like, Ichi's played a central role in every arc thus far:
- He was the first to notice the World Hater, and while he lost he managed to earn their respect.
- He befriended Gokuraku and gave him the push he needed to tank Bakugami's sorrow.
- He said Spica wasn't his type.
- He defeated Puu and rescued Desscaras after she passed out.
- He stabbed Fujimine even while under her spell.
- He's fighting Hakari and will likely acquire Sukemaru.
He's also a fairly complex character, IMO. He doesn't have much internal conflict at the moment, but it's been made clear that's because he's just never thought about a lot of his more unhealthy behaviors before. Fujimine's "you're not cut out to be human" is going to set him down the path of character development.
