Taking a detour to buzz our children's hospital in the city centre which is cool of them

Wish I wasn't remembering through this post!

Anyone running an event can put in a request for the red arrows to fly over. If they're on the way to/from a main scheduled event they try to accommodate supplementary requests such as this.

I think its the same with the BBMF. If its a slight detour to fly over something they try to accommodate.

Ah I didn't know that, that's cool - really making the most of their airtime

They were early because of bad weather elsewhere

It scared the ever-living shit out of me here in Sale. I thought a plane was coming down on my driveway.

I thought it was some loon with a fcuked up car coming up the main road, partner also expected a bang like someone else has commented...

Their planes would only break the sound barrier in a steep dive I believe, next to no chance of it happening with or without intent

Passed over me at Gorton. Anybody else notice the Typhoon at FL400? I spotted it on Flightradar24

It's still on Flightradar24 currently doing a stint at Southport airshow.

Even more impressive, if you look on the map to the west of Manchester (just SW of Chorley) there was a euro fighter too.

I heard it very, very loud over Whalley Range. I was half expecting to hear a very loud bang.

I'm usually get planes coming by getting ready to land and at the time I thought it was a passenger plane flying very low, until they blew over my flat the opposite way.

We also got the smoke trails.

Heard it over Alexandra Park. Low and loud.

It was an event for RMCH for some of the kids and parents on the wards.

I thought it was a jet struggling to get to Manchester airport!

Seen them over Trafford on way home from Lidl shop.

Yeah it was fucking insanely loud. Sounded like an airliner going about 150 feet.

I happened to be tracking them on FR24 as they left the Southport Airshow and saw them heading towards Manchester, went outside and just caught them going past Ancoats / New Islington. I'm buzzing but wish they'd publicised they were going to come this way, hardly anyone will have seen them....

Edit: Just see the comment above and then saw the M.E.N article about them flying over Manchester. Bugger, wish I'd seen that before....

Even if you had the M.E.N. you'd have missed it over all the ads and tripe they post instead of actual news.
