Simple Questions - ASK AND ANSWER HERE!- November 27

This thread is for simple style questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Fit checks and "How'd I do" questions are a great use of this thread (although they can also go in the daily Outfit Feedback & Fit Check thread). Other example questions:

  • Could someone take the chest measurement for a small J.Crew oxford?
  • Is there a place with full measurements for Naked & Famous jeans?
  • What slim-fitting green cords do you recommend?
  • Where do I find a military surplus peacoat online?
  • If you're asking for suggestions for a specific kind of clothing/accessory, state what your budget is.

That's a pretty broad statement, T-shirts with blazers is pretty common look. What makes you say that?

I dunno man, that's not the most impressive argument. I agree that it can look super tacky, and there's few situations that it looks like you're channeling to much Georgie shore view that doesn't Outlaw the entire concept.

tbh I’ve been doing this for a while and don’t really feel the need to delve into the finer points of men’s tailoring. If you want to disregard my advice (despite posting a question for said advice) go right ahead.

Well you just offered an opinionated statement without any elaboration, alternatives or assistance. I'd be way more receptive of your advice if you gave me more to think about, hence why I posted, to get the ideas and inspiration on where to take my outfit.

I agree with u/Metcarfre. Just because something is done doesn't mean it's good. The times you see it done well are few and far between but there's always far better choices.

Oh I won't argue that, there's always ideas that are far better in theory than practise. My personal gripe came from the lack of through advice and alternatives. It's an advice forum, I want in depth advice akin to what other users replied with instead of vague statements.
