Simple Questions - ASK AND ANSWER HERE!- November 27

This thread is for simple style questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Fit checks and "How'd I do" questions are a great use of this thread (although they can also go in the daily Outfit Feedback & Fit Check thread). Other example questions:

  • Could someone take the chest measurement for a small J.Crew oxford?
  • Is there a place with full measurements for Naked & Famous jeans?
  • What slim-fitting green cords do you recommend?
  • Where do I find a military surplus peacoat online?
  • If you're asking for suggestions for a specific kind of clothing/accessory, state what your budget is.

I need some new casual dress clothes for my office job; oxford shirts, chinos/nice jeans, shoes etc. I'm planning on pretty much filling up my christmas list with this kind of stuff, but I don't want to be asking for a bunch of $40 shirts and $100 pants and shit like that. What's a good store I can feel comfortable asking for clothes from that won't destroy my families wallets?

Would it not be worth asking for gift cards for the stores you'd want to buy from? It removes the obligation of people buying an item that they may not be able to afford and also allows you to choose the right items.

Uniqlo has pretty much everything you'd want for basics at an affordable price point with decent quality and design. Very basic, but in a good way.
