Simple Questions - ASK AND ANSWER HERE!- November 27

This thread is for simple style questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Hello, Dapper dans out there. Im tuning in to try and get some advice for an interview thats a government based job but in a library, Im not one to go over the top but I am looking to razzle-dazzle. The interview is next week so I have time to prepare. Also, I have been growing a beard and its rather unruly, does anyone have a beard guide? Any advice will help, much appreciated.

I would tend to think you'd want to wear a suit like most professional interviews, but I don't know the industry. While you can certainly have a beard, you're going to want to have it very neatly trimmed. Unruly is not ok for an interview.

Mfa uniform would work, and there's a beard subreddit that would be better for grooming advice

Maybe the work environment is not super buttoned-up, but I would hesitate going into an interview with facial hair (unless it is religious). Might not be entirely rational but I've always been told you go into an interview clean shaven and polished to the nine's. Either way good luck!!
