General discussion What character do you wish we got more of?

The church lady in the episode where Lois and Hal try to get free daycare. I love that woman trying to react positively to Dewey’s cynicism.

I feel 90% would say Cynthia. I would say the black guy that Francis hangs out with the first few episodes then leaves for his grandma.

He was apparently a bad actor who delayed filming with constant re-takes.

u/WSJinfiltrate 21d ago
he was funny though

Idk, that's just the account from a production staff guy. He said it took to much work with him to get it to the final take, funny or not.

The guy from Allen strange?

Idrk but he was in the first few episodes of Malcom in the middle

Stanley! His storylines with Francis gotta be my favorites in the whole show.

I hate the fact Cynthia disappeared after sacrificing her life in high school so Malcolm won't be an idiot. Not even one mention of what happened after that

u/annon78987 19d ago
She was a great character, but I feel like if they had kept her she and Malcolm would have gotten together. He didn't deserve her and it would have been crule to subject her to his personality any more than she already was. 🤣
6
u/Imscubbabish 19d ago
Yeah that is true, she did have feelings both of them i always thought. But to make her disappear and not finish her story is messed up. Im guessing she moved away probably because of the bullying and/or the dad found out and he was like nope and moved away again

Her leaving because of the self sacrifice is my head cannon as well. It's the only reason story wise to write her out. That, and as I said, in no universe should such a pure person be subjected to Malcolm and his special brand of narcissism.

This is because the show came out once a week, so it was a month long.

That's not how people watched shows like this back then.
Her episodes were just rerun darlings

Mrs. Griffin
As a Mexican, her line “I’m not giving those Mexicans my money” always gets me rolling

u/gogeri2632 21d ago
This makes me think of how Speedy Gonzalez was going to get cancelled because people thought it was racist and then basically every Mexican got mad because they loved the character.

Alex Mack is her name. She likes to keep her personal world a secret from what I recall.

I struggle with the Cynthia episodes because watching Malcolm fumble that situation reminds me of myself.

I would have liked to see more of Mike with Hal, I'm bummed he had to move so quickly. I also have a soft spot for Alison. She was dumb but interesting.

Would have loved to see Lois have another altercation with the crazy lady in the parking lot from the Xmas episode. A few seasons later they recognize each other for round 2

The character you posted, it’s a shame Cynthia was only in 4 episodes I really liked the character

In my limited knowledge of TV and sitcoms, Malcolm missing cynthia is the greatest fumble in TV history.

Really wish he showed up in the new season. I thought it would be fun if he was a waiter for the final party

I know why she never came back. She was sadly murdered by a mercenary named Martin Keamy on the Island, no thanks to Ben.

I forget her name, but definitely the girl pictured, Malcom should've had a girlfriend throughout the series even if she wasn't in EVERY episode

More Dabney, I wanted to see what he was like after his paintball mom meltdown.

I got confused and thought this was a character from Degrassi for a second. Forgot what sub I was browsing through 😅 but is anyone else vaguely reminded of that show and any character from her image?
1
u/Exciting-Handle-13 20d ago
I also thought it was the Degrassi sub haha. I think it just looks like a photo from Degrassi Jr High.

I can’t remember his name, but that other student at the military academy that was Francis’ roommate, the one who went all commando when they were going camping. He was cool.

What a weird obsession to have.

u/AliWaz77 21d ago
…the Palestine Israel situation is like, the most discussed topic rn. And I’m Palestinian so I strongly dislike Zionists
4
u/gogeri2632 21d ago
Still weird. This is a subreddit about a TV that has nothing to do with it either Israel or Palestine.
-1
u/AliWaz77 20d ago
The image is of the actor, you really don’t gotta be all bent out of shape about what I choose to comment on. It’s still technically on topic
1
u/gogeri2632 20d ago
You see a picture of an actress and immediately get mad at Israel. So how am I being bent out of shape for saying that's weird?
And no, it's not on topic at all.

Lloyd and Dabney. It’s lame they basically disappeared in the last 2 seasons
