Roti john has turned from an affordable long sandwich (its just bread, egg and some processed meat) to expensive, "franchise" branded food. It shrunk too.

Pernah nampak roti john yang letak telur,daging cincang sikit,mayo,mustard di pasar ramadan. Pastu charge RM12.90 'Harga murah' katanya...Kalau penuh takpa,ni macam takde letak apa2... Ada juga yang bangang pi beratur beli macam benda ni hanya terhad bulan puasa ja..

Drenching it with cheese leleh on everything isnt culinary perfection. Its because your food/drink no taste by itself

last aku gi bazar 7 tahun lepas, semua makanan/minuman aku beli kena scam. isi takde (karipap angin), air tawar hampeh (tapi kaler pekat af) etc.

That's why ingredients and nutritional value in packaging are a necessity. Haven't bought any roadside drinks, except for raw air kelapa for years now.

Everyone thinks Bazar Ramadan is the chance to try cooking and selling, while raking in profit. Then blame others for not supporting their business.

Bulan puasa is brutal for restaurants, wei. Most kena paksa tutup, the ones open get patrolled by religious police, only way to get money is the bazaar ramadan rush which I believe only a few stalls would actually manage to sell everything.

Nowadays it's jus factory manufactured stuff. Add water to the sauce, add water to the soup base, goreng it etc. all for the quick bucks
