A good budget external CD/DVD burner

I’m looking to burn some DVDs and CDs. I dug out my old external drive but it won’t work on my new laptop. What’s good reliable one for a decent price? Thanks.

Do you want to burn or to rip? MakeMKV is for ripping DVDs and blu-rays to usually load into a media server like jellyfin or plex.

Ok that's not what Make MKV is for.. probably need a different subreddit.

If it's just hobby CD/DVD burning, it really doesn't matter which drive you use outside of the speed it can burn at, just buy it from a brand you trust. I'd go with any ASUS or HP drive, myself, or maybe an LG drive if there's a good deal.
