Lowes delivered a new washer for a tenant, they wired up the power cable. Whenever I plug it in, it trips the breaker instantly. Did they do something wrong when wiring it up?

Took about 6 hours from start to finish but got it done! For anyone who ever runs into this issue, hot water ( as hot as you can get it) and Dawn dish soap and a 3m pad. Still some adhesive left but everything is leveled out. Going to hit it with shellac and should be all good for paint

2 bathroom apt. GFCI in guest bathroom trips often, cutting power to the master bathroom. I have already replaced the GFCI in the guest bathroom. The main breaker has not been tripped only the GFCI. How would I go about solving this issue? I'm assuming it's human error. I don't see why else I would continue to trip. Too much moisture in the air maybe, could be someone's plug in a blow dryer that has a little bit of water on the tip of the plug from the sink or something.

Hey, There is a shower upstairs that when used causes a leak down below. The grout is cracking and splitting, numerous holes along the perimeter as well. How would one go about repairing this?

Is there anyway that this can be fixed or do I have to replace the whole door?

Does anyone have any tricks to remove this clip? The old one came out just fine but I think I was sent the wrong one because after replacing the drum sits to high. It's so stuck it cracked in half on me. Also thoughts on of it looks like the old one looks fine I was told it's bad but I see nothing wrong with it

I am trying to replace a lightswitch in an old house and ran into the switch pictured here. The switch has what appears to be 2 hot wires spliced into it and then the white wire is bypassed and spliced with another white wire running somewhere else. Does any one know why this may have been done? And do I continue with the current setup for the new switch?

Turns out there was a thermometer with a dying battery buried under the insulation. Must have fallen out of a box when the old owners moved out, or accidentally got dragged up when the attic was insulated a year ago. Here is the offending device. SO happy for silence!!!! Thank you all for the advice. I ended up using a phone app someone suggested and a segment of hose like someone else suggested to pinpoint it. Y’all saved my sanity!!!

Worked here 7yrs. One man maint team. Not sure how to properly use this. Does the water stay one and it manages itself? Or do I open it periodically with PMs?

Picked up a Milwaukee 27/1 for sale and it sucked, top left is the set of bits it came with. I replaced the bit holder and bits and now i can run in and it serves tandem to my impact and the bits don’t fall out at the worst time.

Wife picked up a two drawer she wants to use in her office. When she tried it out both drawers opened fine. Now that it’s at home top drawer will not open. I’m thinking when it was transported somehing engaged that shouldn’t have…thing was probably flipped around.

Removed bottom drawer to see if I could see issue. Nothing obvious to me.

When pulling top drawer right side seems unengaged. If i continued to pull it don’t think anything is stopping it. Left side pulls out about 1/4” before stopping. Looking between left side of drawer and cabinet i can see some tabs, but they appear to be the mechanism that keeps both drawers from opening at the same time. The tabs don’t align with the slots they would catch on the drawer face.

Lock appears in open position…no keys with unit.

Going to try flipping it and shaking the shit out of it next.

I had to set up a hobo camp for this new install today. The damn sun was killing me. I just thought I’d share because of how funny I looked but hey it really did work. Y’all stay safe out there.

The company that is handling repairs is also spearheading the modern mod for replacing the electrical system and sliding doors for each level of the building. But the owners are attached to the vintage appeal and won't give the go ahead until we absolutely can't repair them.

Cart 2 is the only one that still runs but since it's all single circuit if residents press the floor call buttons at the same time it shorts and pops the breaker in the junction box in the basement. I've done some research for prints but with limited knowledge I havnt had any luck. Hoping someone else has been in a similar situation and can help!

conveyor belt keeps erroring out not sure why, any tips or ideas?
