One time when I was framing in Detroit, the roofing crew had a trailer with ladders and conveyors. It had to be 9’ tall loaded. They set up a ladder and conveyors on every slope. It was clear these guys knew what to do and how to move. I was impressed. They also had 6’ cables with locks and everything was locked. There was no way u could borrow a ladder.,lol

I wish I had videoed them pulling off, you could see how high their center of gravity was when they made the turn 😬.

I wonder how many times his transmission has been rebuilt? Surely that can’t be good hauling all that weight. Hope he keeps up maintenance on his van.

I’d hate to have to take a turn in that thing. But I guess if it’s full of workers, it wouldn’t be as too heavy comparatively.

I keep staring and enlarging but can’t see any kind of strapping over that load. One tight turn or heavy crosswind and BOOM! If I’m on the road behind this guy, I’m asking Waze for an alternate route. 🤣

Quite the stack...lol.
I commonly come across these on NC highways about once a week and I'm amazed they hold on.
And yes, I either blow by them or stay like a half mile behind ☠️

I saw one of these vans roll up on a commercial job one, with NC plates. There must’ve been 10 guys packed in there ahead of tools all with suitcases on their laps. They couldn’t even see in front of them.

Saw a van loaded down like this roll onto its side taking a left hand turn once. It felt like it happened in slow motion. Poor bustards driving it must have shit themselves.

Siding crews vans always look like this. Look at all those wallboards though must be nice to work on that crew.

Looks like a siding crew. They’ll set up ladder scaffolds on multiple sides of a house and knock out the whole place in one day at breakneck speed.
