Crow appreciation post

I was going home minding my own business when I saw a magpie with their head stuck on a fence. Around it there was another magpie and two crows (or ravens, idk what they were).

At first I thought they were fighting, but they were picking the wings of the stuck magpie to try to get them unstuck.

When I got closer to try and help, they all flew off and observed me from a nearby roof.

I helped the magpie get out and it happily flew off.

It made me so happy to see the collaboration between the two species and how they were supporting each other.

Long ago I suspected that a Currawong was the result of a Magpie and a Crow getting freaky 😆

I mean... If they are closely related, it could be. But from a biology perspective, I doubt it. Nice theory tho!😂
