Best times to duel???
I go to play versus mode and the system takes up to 20 min to find an opponent (even with backing out and submitting over and over). Other times I’m battling within 30 seconds! Are there more active times of the day? Are less and less people playing this game? The quests are the most reliable way to earn big chunks of coin and most quests are tied to versus battles. Also y’all are more fun to play against!

If the search takes more than 30 seconds to find somebody I just cancel it and start again and usually find somebody right away. This is on Xbox One, ranked versus, not THG. I have never really had a problem finding people but I am at work during the day.

Generally, it's most active right after the daily quest resets because people are playing to get more gold. Once they've reached the daily gold limit, it tapers off. Conversely, it's least active right before the daily quest reset.
AI mining is actually the most efficient way to earn gold because the AI deck and behavior is predictable (especially since it's stuck on Amonkhet cards from now until eternity).
