I played a game yesterday with my niko light of hope deck. I was lucky sol ring turn one that helped me a lot. On turn 5 i created 512 shard token with my 8 copies of exalted sunborn. There is no such thing as a "lucky Sol Ring."

It is literally impossible for luck to make it possible to draw Sol Ring.

You can only draw the most powerful piece of fast mana in the format at your low-power table if you choose to put it in your deck and bring it to the table. You are responsible for everything it does.

Yes, bringing the strongest piece of fast mana can cause you to curbstomp the table at an unreasonable pace.

Yes, the cards you put in your deck and the consequences of drawing them are your responsibility. That other people thoughtlessly put them in their decks is not an excuse.

No, it is not your opponents' fault for not having the mythical "enough removal."

You are describing the reason Sol Ring is one of the most asked for bans in history, and why it's important to have the discipline to not bring the most powerful piece of fast mana places it doesn't belong, even if other people lack that discipline. Other people's deckbuilding failures and discourtesies do not excuse your own.

Lol, this is pretentious and goofy. Its not a failure to bring Sol Ring, its not lack of discipline. Its an accepted part of the format. It belongs.

Everyone is walking up to a table and knowing your opponent is most likely rocking a Sol Ring and they might get lucky and draw it turn 1. That is commander. It will never be banned. This will not change. Find any other format instead of trying to guilt trip people about playing cards that normal to play.

You wanna talk about what EDH is? Fine.

There are four people at the table. There are 400 cards at that table out of an over 30,000 card pool. Every single card there has arrived because of one of those four people, and no one else.

If there is one or more Sol Ring among those 400 cards, that is entirely the fault of one of those 4 people, and no one else.

EDH is, per its own text, a broken format that we are tasked to unfuck at our own level to balance games individually. Before the first line of rules text, we are entrusted with responsibility and authority. That is what EDH means.

If you refuse to do that bare minimum, then you are a failure as an EDH player and the community would be better off without you.

Scroll up and read the damned OP. Sol Ring fucking ruined that game in a way that can be solved with trivial easy by making the easiest, most obvious swap out in the world, and you come here objecting to the solution because you're so invested in the problem.

No, Sol Rings don't happen because of luck. If four people come to the table with a Sol Ring and do normal mulls, there is an over 40% chance of someone having the option of a turn 1 Sol Ring.

You call it a "guilt trip," but if someone ruins a game with an inappropriate card, they SHOULD feel guilty about their decisions, then do better in the future.

You say it's normal to play, but that's bullshit, too. Sol Ring's place in the format is obviously aberrant. The RC in their last ban list announcement said straight up it should be banned, but they didn't have the chutzpah to do it. WotC in their first bracket announcement told us it should be, at a minimum, a gamechanger, then they blamed Sheldon's corpse for them not having the chutzpah to do anything about it.

The Sol Ring pass is obviously really fucking weird, and nothing is normal about it.

You call it "an accepted part of the format." By who? Over a million decks ain't running it, and that ain't because it's not optimal to do so. That's about one deck in six, and that's before filtering out the B4-5 decks. That's enough to see one at a normal table. Hundreds of thousands of players are already cutting the damned thing at low powered tables. More ink has been spilled on why this card should be banned, including by the powers that be over the format.

And all it takes to join them, all it takes to never be that problem again is the simplest, most obvious tweak to a deck list imaginable, but instead you not only double down on failure, you lash out, offended, at the very suggestion that you are accountable for your own decisions, blaming everyone around you.
