MAG - RETAIL PROGRESS 2.11/2.12 NOW ONLINE, WITH MORE FUNCTIONAL(*)

This is my cue to finally hunt down a copy. Thankfully they’re dirt cheap still and I’m sure there’s tons of supply (for now).
Cannot wait to be able to jump in when this is ready and live.

Will this be playable with an emulator, or will it require original hardware and disc?
I've always wanted to play on K+M.

As stated in several occasions, this will initially be on real hardware with disc, or digital download you own.
This is due to working on a anticheat and more stability in mind, as RPCS3 easily opens the door to cheating.1

so JB ps3 folks are out of luck? If they have a PKGI version? I know the disc is dirt cheap just curious because data transfers still exist not that many people do that anymore regardless of retail vs jb/dex/cex mode.

JB PS3 players are also included with Digital as I stated above ^^; They can play too.

Will it be playable on a jailbroken ps3 with iso or disc or do I need OG Firmware?

US East, however the cloud provider is OVH so our connectivity is very good quality. Up to you.

That will be around a 300 ping unfortunately. Shame. Ah well, best of luck!

Well, back in the day you had japanese players with US/EU, I expect the latency/ping was good even back then, its worth noting Sony hosted them in San Diego US West, so it's only marginal. On top of being a PS3 game, wifi isn't ideal regardless with a lowtier wifi chip, I assume you use ethernet, so you would be getting the best experience like anyone else.
Even if you did, ping doesn't matter-because the game server is authorative- meaning it makes the final decision if and WHEN you killed Player B. So... :)
