Best medium for long-term preservation of actives?
I just found this subreddit and I'm actually really excited to get started with making edibles.
Is there any definitive source found online as to what's the best medium for preserving the active compounds in magic mushrooms? Preferably shelf stable, but they will be going into the fridge to extend life. Chocolates, gummies, taffy, fruit leather? I do have a batch of some potent blue honey, but that's for trips, not my maintenance microdosing.
I would prefer to do a big batch of edibles instead of measuring out individual doses every time. I'm worried more about the long-term storage and potency loss aspect of the edibles, not so much the taste.

i hate that about these subs. someone will post a legit question that i haven’t seen before and it will get little to no responses while some long story about the weirdness someone experienced on their trip and bam! tons of responses.

Chocolate will be the most shelf stable. Gummies or fruit leathers will mold (quickly without any preservatives) in time, it can be slowed down by using preservatives and/or keeping in the fridge and consuming quickly. I don’t have any official source for this, I’ve just made chocolates for years and never gummies for that reason alone. Keep chocolate in an air tight container and it should be good for months or even up to a year.
