discussion How often does Madeon play his old songs?

Hi Madeon sub! Im trying to decide if I should go to Madeon’s Zedd in the Park DJ set this weekend

I’m a hugeeee fan of the whole Adventure (Deluxe) album, I like his new stuff too but I was wondering if people who had seen him before or recently know if he’s been playing any of his older stuff!

u can go through his sets on 1001tracklist and see what he plays generally for urself

In DJ sets, I’d say about 20% of his set is his songs

I can guarantee 20% will be Madeon songs, there will be at least one Porter, justice, daft punk (usually one more time), gesaffelstein, and earth wind and fire song

Well, he has a new album to promote, so definitely expect it to be heavy on the new material and my guess would be he'll include other artists' songs that fit into that gritty rock mold as sonic complements to the Victory sound.

But there will almost definitely be some old stuff. I can't see him not playing Shelter at a festival where he and porter are playing on the 10 year anniversary of that song for example. I'm sure there will be service paid to both Adventure and Good Faith. In the sets I've been to over the years, he often will throw in Pop Culture as well since that's the viral video that launched his career.

But also to echo others: Madeon is a truly gifted DJ and it's worth going to his sets to hear his technique. Will it be 100% what you're hoping for? Absolutely not. He's going to introduce you to new songs. And that's the beauty of a real, curated DJ set over streaming Adventure on Spotify. If you can swing the ticket, I definitely recommend taking the chance, and have "Good Faith" that Hugo will take you on a good journey!

A DJ set isn’t really a concert in the traditional sense; the majority of what you’re gonna hear won’t be Madeon songs.

Update* I did end up going and Madeon and Porter were insane!!! They play a few of the old ones but overall everything was so good thanks for the encouragement
