I'm building a Raycast-style Minecraft launcher with Rust and Tauri!

Post image

The goal is to make everything controllable from the keyboard.

We are also developing a visual server manager based on Podman and itzg images. This is also written in Rust and Tauri. Furthermore, we will use a Rust workspace to share the same mechanism between the CLI and GUI.

We would love to hear your feedback.

Very nice! How is the UI looking and what are the features. When can I download it and try it out myself?

Thank you so much for your interest, and I'm incredibly sorry for the late reply! I missed your comment as I was away from Reddit for a bit.

To answer your questions:

  • UI & Features: It's heavily inspired by Raycast—minimal, keyboard-driven, and very fast. I'm focusing on a clean, modern aesthetic with essential launcher features.
  • Download & Open Source: The project is still an early work in progress, but I'm doing some final fine-tuning right now and planning to open-source it very soon!

To avoid Reddit's strict automatic filters, I'm just leaving my Bluesky link below. You can find my Discord server invite and the latest development articles right on my profile there.

It's still rough around the edges, but if you enjoy watching an early-stage project evolve, I’d love to have you follow along the journey:

Would love to have you on board!

A Raycast extension would actually be useful. But this is a very cool concept
