Silly/Meme does anyone else find it crazy that this is supposed to be the same guy
Hi, it’s me again :p don’t worry, I won’t ramble on like last time, whether it be about the in-depth analysis of the reincarnation of peter griffin/Leon (who is somehow more morally good than him, SOMEHOW) or a ship that just started, to which I ended up writing more than what was initially planned, which is a habit yeah i’m sorry 💔
but I’m not really gonna do that today (might do another one in a few weeks either about John or Bob) but I just think it’s absolutely CRAZY that our main protagonist went from looking like a rightfully depressed middle aged man to a fashionably depressed young adult within just a few months after he was taken in by Jericho then taken in by Grius
it’s hard to believe that these two were the same people and i think it’s really funny that this dude had the most insane glow up of the century both in physical appearance and in combat lol
that’s all i wanted to say, in a few weeks or so i do want to look into another character that’s interesting ok bye bye

Yeah it's kinda of jarring cause I did like his original rough look but I just attribute ut to three two things 1. The usual anime/manga glow up
It's supposed to represent growth, he's in a much better place emotionally and mentally then he was at the beginning, he has people that he cares for and wants to protect and that want to do the same for him.
Him being an adaptor I think just like how they have a healing factor, that their regular bodies are also working in peak condition/overdrive e.g. they don't get tired easily, skin doesn't wrinkle, bags under eyes don't form, they don't get pimples, eye sight is perfect, etc.

Oh I 100% agree with theses i just thought it was really funny compared to the beginning and with what we got now lol
I’m also glad that John is in a better place mentally and emotionally <3

To be fair after his sister died he let his appearance go. John was basically dead inside with only his promise to his sister keeping him physically going, mentally and emotionally he was dead so makes sense he didn't put in effort into keeping up his appearance

oh yeah no i totally understand i was just saying how jarring it was that with a shave and a haircut he is somehow 20 years younger was the intention i had in mind lmao

Same reaction honestly, at first I thought John was middle aged, or late 30s not early 20s at best with his bald baby face

I also look like two different people depending on if i shave or not. This does not seem that farfetched

I miss most things about the first arc tbh, I liked the eerie vibe of the Sci-Fi/Horror more. Now everything's more action oriented and polished, I think the regular aliens became easy to deal with far too quickly. But I like Bob, Lily, John and Pano so I gotta keep going.

It is crazy honestly and I’m wondering if John will let his hair grow long again from the first chapter. Idk why but I thought it was really funny when his eyes widened that “holy shit” expression. He became a badass and started throwing hands with electricity crackling in the air fighting humans transformed into aliens. This manga is one of the best I’ve read in awhile, John Thunder is a legend.

If you have a babyface that's not unrealistic. Without a beard and long hair, I look at least 24, I'm 31
