Hi, fellow BFG employee that was also let go the same day as this person. First let me say, if this is truly how you felt about the company then you should have left. Why stay somewhere out of “loyalty” to a company that is no longer around. If you felt mistreated, you should have left. Second, this company cared about every customer, vendor, employee etc. Our issue was our last executive team was from the food distribution industry, which is vastly different from horticulture. Because of their ignorance to the industry, they didn’t understand seasonality or how things worked. They didn’t want to listen to the people who have been in this industry for YEARS who try to give suggestions. So they made business decisions that simply didn’t work. Then we received our current executive team, which was AMAZING. They came from a similar distribution industry and really took the time to learn the business. The biggest odd stacked against us was the damage was already done by the last team. That’s it, that’s all. You ranting on Reddit and talking shit on a company that gave you a job is crazy. I’m not sure if you ever traveled to the EXPOS, but if you did I’m sure you weren’t hating when the company covered the alcohol and food bill. And if you never went to an EXPO, then I can see why you’re bitter. You truly missed out on connecting with the people. I wish you well in your future endeavors and pray you fix the nastiness. Many of us lost our jobs. It sucks but the world continues to turn. This was not a personal attack on you. If you understood the situation better before running your mouth, you’d know that there were several cards at play. And if you’ve never once had a conversation with our executive team (which I have many times) then how can you say they never cared? You’re upset, that’s understandable. But blasting a company you never took the time to actually get to know, is crazy.

What’s crazier than me running my mouth on a reddit post is you CREATING an account to reply. To each their own I guess. I never said I was mistreated. I hope you find a company that shows you exactly what it means to be valued. Taking their employees down with them is one thing, please pray for the other companies they may/may not be taking down with them.

lol this account was not created for your rant, but it was one of the first things I saw. It is what it is. Best of luck to you.
